They've been around for 100 years, and the New York State Police are giving you a chance to take an up close look at Troop D in Oneida.  On Saturday April 29th, they are opening the doors to the public at the Troop D Headquarters on Genesee Street.

You'll see the newest State Police vehicles, as well as some of their vintage patrol cars.  There will be demonstrations by the Special Operations Response Team and the K-9 units.  You can also tour their Forensic Investigation Center.

And the kids won't be bored either.  They can suit up in a trooper's uniform and sit in a patrol car.  You can also buy food from the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que during the open house.
