Dhani Harrison, the son of the late Beatle George Harrison, wed his longtime girlfriend Solveig Karadottir at Friar Park, in a secret ceremony at the Harrison family’s estate in in Henley-on-Thames 40 miles outside London. The news was reported in the Henley Standard.

The two surviving Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, attended the ceremony, as did actors Tom Hanks and Clive Owen. McCartney’s daughter, Stella, a noted fashion designer, created Káradóttir’s dress.

The 33-year old Harrison is currently in two bands. He is the lead singer and guitar player in thenewno2, who will release their second full-length album, ‘thefearofmissingout,’ on July 31. He is also in Fistful of Mercy with Ben Harper and Joseph Arthur. Fistful of Mercy’s only album, ‘As I Call You Down,’ came out in 2010.

Karadottir, who is originally from Iceland, is a former model who now works as a psychologist. Her father, Karl Stefansson, founded the Icelandic biopharmaceutical firm deCODE Genetics.

The couple, who had been engaged since January, live in Los Angeles.
