The second woman accusing former President George H. W. Bush of sexual misconduct, Heather Lind, has local ties.

Actress and producer Heather Lind, known for Demolition (2015), TURN: Washington's Spies (2014) and Mistress America (2015) grew up in Guilderland NY and graduated from Guilderland High School in 2001. Her identical twin sister, Christina Bennett Lind, is also an actress.

Lind confessed via a now-deleted Instagram post that the former president told her a dirty joke and then touched her bottom not once but twice during a photo shoot while his wife Barbra stood by his side. The joke is one that has been told many many times over the years by the former president and goes like this. "Want to know who's my favorite magician? David Cop-a-Feel.”

Deadspin.com reports that Bush spokesperson Jim McGrath provided the following statement: “At age 93, President Bush has been confined to a wheelchair for roughly five years, so his arm falls on the lower waist of people with whom he takes pictures. To try to put people at ease, the president routinely tells the same joke — and on occasion, he has patted women’s rears in what he intended to be a good-natured manner. Some have seen it as innocent; others clearly view it as inappropriate. To anyone he has offended, President Bush apologizes most sincerely.”

The first woman accusing the former president of sexual misconduct is Jordana Grolnick, a New York actress originally from Colorado, and her allegations are very similar if not exactly like Linds.

The Wikipedia definition of Sexual misconduct includes sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual abuse, and any conduct of a sexual nature that is without consent or has the effect of threatening or intimidating the person against whom such conduct is directed.

The #MeToo: hashtag is a rallying cry against sexual harassment. Since the movement, we're hearing more and more personal stories from women in all industries across the world confess about their sexual assault and harassment experiences without embarrassment.
