Who says there's no such thing as a free lunch? A new non-profit group is serving our heroes lunch for FREE starting Wednesday, September 12, 2018.

The U.S. veteran population totals 19 million men and women living in the United States and Puerto Rico who have served on active duty in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard. Some veterans were drafted, while others volunteered but all are the backbone of this country. Without our veterans, there would be no Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness. Our veterans have suffered and endured horror we can not even begin to imagine so we can live in the 'Land of Opportunity.'

The Shepherd's Ministries from New Hartford is honoring our veterans with free lunches starting September 12, 2018, at the CNY Veteran's Outreach Center, 726 Washington Street, Utica (the old YMCA). Lunch will be served from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm every second Wednesday of the month.

This generous program is run by The Sheperd's Ministry, a non-profit Christian group serving the Mohawk Valley and founded by Brother Rick Johnson and Paster David Ossenfort.

If you would like to volunteer or contribute to the 'Free Lunch for Veterans' contact The Shepherd's Ministries at PO Box 430, New Hartford NY, 13413. Please help us spread the word!
