You're invited to the Stanley Theatre on Wednesday August 5th from 11-3 as the Franklin Classic Car Club will have 50-60 vehicles from 1928 on display next door in the City parking lot.

Every August, members from around the world meet in Cazenovia for a week-long event where the cars are displayed and driven throughout upstate New York.

A highlight of this year’s event will be on Wednesday August 5, when the Franklin Car Club visits the Stanley Theatre in Utica in honor of the Stanley Theatre’s opening in 1928.  50-60 Franklins from 1928 will be prominently displayed during their visit.

According to the Franklin Classic Car Club website:

The H. H. Franklin Club, Inc. is a non-profit membership organization devoted to the preservation and exploration of the H. H. Franklin Manufacturing Company history and its effects on the history of the automobile.

The H.H. Franklin Manufacturing Company of Syracuse, NY built America's most successful air-cooled automobile, with its first innovative air-cooled motorcar in 1902 and continued production until 1934. Of the 150,000 Franklins built between 1902 and 1934, it's estimated that about 3,700 have survived.
