Four Teens Arrested for Attempted Murder And Kidnapping

Four local teens have been charged with attempted murder and kidnapping following an incident in Utica.

19-year old Andre Baptisti of Utica, 19-year old Ricky Woods of Yorkville, 17-year old Jahmel Howard of Utica and 17-year old Demarkus Smith of Utica were arrested.

Utica Police say the victim, who suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound to his midsection, was taken from a location at gunpoint against his will and brought to the 1400 block of Oneida Street.

Police say the 20-year old man was shot at several times as he ran away from his captors.

Other charges against the suspects include criminal possession of a weapon and conspiracy.
