Math geeks have figured out that filling out the perfect bracket is impossible. According to The Washington Post, if you were to stack the amount of paper it would take to fill in every bracket with every possibility among the 68 teams who will play 67 games over the next three weeks; it would not fit inside the universe. So you may need some tips to get it pretty close right? Well if you want to win the cash at least.

Here are five tips to making March Madness more profitable for you.

Root for Goliath: In the last 45 years, all but one winner has come from the major conferences: Big Ten, Pac-12, SEC, Big 12, Big East or ACC.

Future Draft Potential: Look for teams with two or three future NBA players. Just Google search “the projected 2012 NBA draft” to see who the pro scouts like.

Go With the Point Guard: The players that have made the best jump to the NBA the past few seasons have been point guards. Figure out which of the two teams has the best point guard.

Don't Forget a Dark Horse: Look for teams with a good road record and a good defense.

Listen to Vegas: Check the Las Vegas line for the opening games with odds favorable to the underdog. Think about it, these people make bets for a living. They know how it should play out.
