Here comes the snow in central New York. The question is how much.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for central New York.

A strong cold front will blast through the region early Sunday morning that may produce wind gusts up to 50 mph, causing possible scattered power outages. Accumulating lake effect snow will fall east and southeast of Lake Ontario Sunday into Monday with the main accumulation late Sunday through midday Monday in Onondaga, Madison and Oneida counties.

The National Weather Service says it's too early for specifics on snowfall amounts or exact locations but a few to several inches appears likely along with blowing-drifting snow.

Stay up to date on the latest winter storm and be careful on the roads. Drivers seem to forget how to drive after the first snow of the season.
