Check Out this Ferrari That Runs Like a Bicycle — Because It Is a Bicycle

Bicycles are great way to get exercise and get around town without maxing out what’s left of our gas card. They don’t come in very handy when you’re trying to pick up hot chicks on the weekend unless your goal is to show them that sense of humor they always say they want in a man.

These car artists, however, may have found a way to rectify that — They built a realistic looking Ferrari that runs completely on pedal power.

The “Fahrradi Farfalla FXX,” derived from the German word “fahrrad” for bicycle and “i” from Apple’s endless line of “iStuff,” may look like a sleek, carbon fiber beauty that runs on pure octane and male pheromones. Looks, however, can be deceiving. Underneath its hood and gull-wing doors lies a working bicycle.

Of course, the real working model can’t fly unless it can catch a good head wind off of a particular sharp cliff on a Swiss Alpine course. It can, however, be driven just like a real car, except instead of a gas propulsion system, it runs on a feet propulsion system. It only reaches a maximum speed of 10 mph depending on the driving surface and the weight of the driver.

It’s also literally one of a kind. The people who built it come from the art team of Mimikcry who take high priced rides like the Porsche 911 and turn them into even more eye-catching works of art. This faux-Ferrari will go on display at the LENTOS Museum of Art in Linz, Austraia and there are no plans to mass produce.
