The Fay Street Warehouse is finally coming down this Sunday March 2nd.

As a result, the City of Utica has an evacuation plan in place for a 500 ft. radius surrounding the building that will be in effect from 4 a.m. until 11 a.m.

All City streets within 1,000 feet of the demolition site will also be closed during the morning of the implosion.

Lead contractor for the North South Arterial project Dave Bianchi said implosion is the best and safest method because conventional demolition would take up to three months and cause the Arterial to be shut down.

Bianchi said that everyone involved in the project is confident that everything will go according to plan.

Residents can call 315-793-2447 for information and assistance.
