The starving dog that was found in Frankfort has died after ten days of care.

We have very upsetting news to report. Fawn's broken body was to far gone and couldn't survive her starvation. We are heartbroken, as we're sure you are, about this devastating news. We want to thank the Herkimer County Humane Society for giving Fawn a chance at recovery and to her foster mom for showing her unconditional love at the end of her short life.

With heavy hearts, we have to let all of you know that Fawn has passed. She fought for her life for 10 days with her dedicated foster mom Laura at her side. Although she was too weak to recover from the tremendous neglect she endured, we are grateful because of Laura, Fawn knew love.
We want to thank all of you for the enormous response for support, prayers, and donations for Fawn. Your contributions made a difference in her life. Please join us in sending a huge thank you to the man who discovered her, for taking immediate action to get her help, and to Laura who unselfishly gave Fawn the best care around the clock.
Please in honor or Fawn leave only an uplifting message and no negative comments.
"Dogs are always good and full of selfless love. They are undiluted vessels of joy who never, ever deserve anything bad that happens to them" - Steven Rowley [Herkimer County Humane Society]

As far as we know there have been no arrests made in Fawn's case. We hope the Frankfort Police find the person who starved her to death.
