Police officer put their lives on the line every day. Unfortunately, there are times when officers make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty for the state of New York. We want to make sure those officers who have Fallen are not Forgotten.

This week we salute Trooper John J. McKenna..Trooper McKenna died as a result of sniper fire outside the Iraqi city of Fallujjah. Trooper McKenna served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps  and entered the State Police service on February14, 2005 and was assigned to Troop F at the time of his recall to active duty with the Marines.

Trooper McKenna had served for 18 months at the time of his death.
