What Happens to Your Facebook When You Die? Learn About Legacy Contact

Facebook has unveiled new options to deal with one's social media account after their passing. Users can now set a designee as a legacy contact.

There are three options users have to choose for their end of life social media account.

1. Choose a Legacy Contact who will have access to and control over your account
2. Fully delete your account and purge its content upon Facebook receiving notification of your passing
3. Leave your settings unchanged.

You can make the decision by accessing Security > My Legacy Contact
