If you've ever wondered where you can investigate paranormal activity or stay overnight in a haunted hotel in New York State, the new Haunted History Trail website is the place to start.

New York Stat Tourism has launched the new Haunted History Trail program. The tourism promotion agencies of 20 counties across New York State have come together to promote their haunted tourism attractions to thrill-seeking tourists.

The almost 400 mile trail of ghost adventures is detailed on the website that highlights alleged haunted locations in Central New York and the rest of the state.

You can visit the Haunted History Trail website to request free brochures, explore the trail and listen to the audio tours that accompany each haunted location.

"Interest in the paranormal continues to increase in pop culture and those who have this interest are eager to explore new areas," said Trail coordinator Kelly Rapone. "Our research has shown that ghost enthusiasts are looking for paranormal travel experiences that they can have year-round for single and multi-day trips."

The Haunted History Trail website features a number of Central New York locations including the Rome Capitol Theatre, Remsen Stone Meeting House, Hulbert House, the Utica Haunted Rails Ghost Train among many others.
