If you're planning to travel on the New York State Thruway, you may run into traffic slow downs.

National Grid will be replacing overhead utility lines crossing I-90 near milepost 346.1 between exits 43 (Manchester – Palmyra – NY Route 21) and 44 (Canandaigua – Victor – NY Route 332). The work will require periodic traffic slowdowns lasting no more than 15 minutes eastbound and westbound.

The schedule for the slowdowns is as follows:
Wednesday, March 8 – Three slowdowns beginning at 10 am
Saturday, March 11 – Four slowdowns beginning at 6:30 am
Sunday, March 12 – Four slowdowns beginning at 6:30 am

The eastbound slowdowns will begin at the rest area at milepost 353 between exits 46 (Rochester – Corning – I-390) and 45 (Rochester – Victor – I-490). The westbound slowdowns will begin at milepost 340.51 at exit 43 (Manchester – Palmyra – NY Route 21).
