The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch from 6 am Wednesday morning through 4 am Thursday for CNY.

There's the potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that will make travel extremely difficult with gusty winds over 25 mph bringing whiteout conditions. From Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night we could see localized amounts of snow up to 10 inches.

Today: A chance of light snow, mainly before 10 am, then a slight chance of snow showers after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 28. Southwest wind 5 to 11 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight: A slight chance of snow showers before 11 pm. Increasing clouds, with a low around 10. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday: Snow, mainly after 9 am. High near 25. Wind chill values as low as -2. East wind 7 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of around 6 inches.

Wednesday Night: Snow likely before 7 pm, then snow showers likely, mainly between 7 pm and 10 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 13. Wind chill values as low as zero. West wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Thursday: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 22. West wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Thursday Night: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 9. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 28. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
