There's something that's just so great about that hometown, everyone knows your name feeling. Well, one city in Central New York is known for that.

Sure, there's more than one town or city in our area where you can get that small town feel, but one stands out enough to be named by "Only In Your State." Their latest list of "11 Small Towns in New York" looks at areas where everyone seems to know everyone. The list included places like Inlet in the Adirondacks and Roxbury in Delaware County.

So do you think you know what Central New York city they named? It's not New York Mills, Ilion, or Dolgeville (although it's considered part of the 'Valley').

Only In Your State named Little Falls number nine on their list. According to their website,

With a population of just over 1,500 residents, Little Falls has an area of just over 22-square miles, making it nearly impossible not to know everyone in town. Nestled among the hills in Herkimer County, the town features easy access to the Erie Canal and other recreational activities that manage to keep its residents and visitors busy all throughout the year.

Little Falls is a beautiful area of Central New York that doesn't always get the recognition it deserves. If you haven't been there (or haven't been there in a while) we suggest taking a nice drive through the area. Maybe stop by the Copper Moose and have one of their amazing burgers or stop by the little shops surrounding that area and do a little shopping. There's a lot to see and do in Little Falls, you just have to be up for the adventure.
