Whoa, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner? I guess I should have known since the all of the Valentine stuff has been in the stores since Dec 26.  Well, with Valentine’s Day, there are always of tales of love gone wrong, or bad dates, or as I like to call them…poor social decisions.

I gotta tell ya, I’m certainly glad this is not a game I play anymore, but I have often heard the horror stories about dates that didn't turn out so well.  Here’s an example…

A woman in England had a few meetings with someone that she had met, but didn't really see the relationship going anywhere, so she decided to break it off.  Turns out he wasn't very receptive to the breakup idea, so what she did next was definitely extreme measures.

The guy was quite persistent with his texts and just wasn't taking no for an answer.  He was determined to win her over and she was determined to get rid of him once and for all.  Here is how the  smart phone text conversation went:

Woman:  Hi, this is Jane Doe’s sister.  I am really sorry to tell you but she was taken to the hospital last night with a very serious illness, so she won’t be available for awhile.  Sorry about that, if and when she comes around and is feeling better, I will get her to message you.

Man:  Ok thanks, what ward is she on, I will come visit her now?

Woman:  Well, they are only letting in family in at the moment so I will let you know when they are allowing friends.

Man:  I am at the hospital now, can I come in if you tell me what ward she is on?

Woman:  I am really sorry to tell you, but we lost her last night.

I guess she felt she had no other option, the guy just didn't seem to get the message, right?  How about you?  Any crazy stories?  Wild blind dates?  What do you think about computer dating?  Does it scare you?  It seems to be the norm these days.
