Additional Information

The Sitrin Health Care Center is proud to host its 6th Annual Stars and Stripes
Run-Walk to support our nation’s heroes on Saturday, September 9th at SUNY Polytechnic Institute (formerly SUNYIT) in Marcy, NY. The event takes place from 7:30AM - Noon.

Sitrin’s Stars and Stripes Run~Walk, proudly sponsored by Adirondack Bank, is the primary fundraiser for Sitrin’s Military Rehabilitation Program. This event features a 5k run, wheelchair race, and two-mile walk, in addition to a fun-filled, military-inspired obstacle course.

Sitrin invites the community to participate! Individuals, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to form teams and walk or run in honor or in memory of a loved one who has answered the ultimate call of duty - to serve and protect our freedom.

The entry fee for either the run or walk is $25 per person, and the first 400 individuals to register receive a commemorative dog tag. Incentives will be available for those who raise $125, $250, $500, $1,000 or more. Registration will take place from 7:30 am to 8:45 am in the Campus Center and a continental breakfast will be served.

Sitrin’s Military Rehabilitation Program provides treatment for service members and veterans who have PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, spinal cord injuries, and other combat-related conditions. Any veteran who chooses to be treated at Sitrin does not pay anything for his or her care, not even a co-pay.

Through your support of Sitrin’s Stars and Stripes Run~Walk, veterans can begin the process of rebuilding their lives, reuniting with their families, and reentering their communities.

I hope you will support this worthwhile event.
