After a medal in the 2014 games, all eyes were on Erin Hamlin to repeat her medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic games in South Korea.

After the first two runs, Erin was sitting in fifth place going into the final two runs on February 12th. Everyone felt she had a good chance to medal at the Pyeongchang games. In the first position was Geisenberger the defending Gold Medalist from the 2014 games in Sochi. That was where Hamlin took bronze to become the first American to medal in singles luge.

In the final two runs early February 13th without the results we were hoping for Erin. After the 4th run, Erin finished in 6th place. Two Germans' and a Canadien finished 1 - 2 and 3 with Geisenberger defending her Gold Medal from Sochi.

This is Erin's last Olympics and her sliding career is coming to a close but she leaves records on the books that will last forever.
