Fishing season is just about in full swing in New York State. Bass fishing opens in June. But if you like fishing for Walleye you will be happy to know that we have one of the best fishing spots for them right in our own back yard. That spot is Oneida Lake, so if you are in the Utica Rome area you do not have to travel too far. The Walleye must be at least fifteen inches long or you will have to throw them back in the water. The limit is five per day. Walleye are lots of fun to fish for and will put up a pretty good fight. Enjoy!
