I set out on Friday for what I thought was going to be a routine Wing Fling pizza delivery and what I got was anything BUT routine! The folks at the Westmoreland Antique Center have to be some of the nicest and accommodating people you'll ever meet and here's why. I walked in the door and the FIRST thing I heard was our station on every single radio in the place! Lest you think that they simply dialed it in in anticipation of my visit, they assure me that 96.1 WODZ is THE only station they play and fittingly so considering what they offer!

No sooner was I in the door than an appreciative Doug Singleton (our winner) was heartily greeting me and inviting me further in. No, he's not seven feet tall like the picture suggests, just a little stair magic. The stewards of the place, Dawn and Jim and even some random browsers dove into the pizza and before I even knew what was going on, there was a plate with a piece of pizza in my hand too! Doug could barley contain himself, gushing about everything from playing guitar on up to how he came to be at the Center. As they were all chowing down I took a stroll around to let the pizza settle, but here's what I found...

There is way more to this place than meets the eye. This Westmoreland best kept secret doesn't look overly huge from the road but as you walk in, you get a huge sense for just how expansive the Antique Center really is. Speaking of senses, I went on instant sensory overload as my eyes tried to digest the amount of antiques and collectibles literally ALL OVER the place! Two floors and capacity for around 80 booths FULL of wares from private vendors from again, all over the place! Don't make the mistake of generalizing this shop as an overgrown garage sale like I did either. These people are serious about what they do and if it's not an antique that you're glancing at, you can be sure it's a collectible, no junk here! I was immediately reminded of my grandmother whose home was a virtual treasure trove of antiques which she collected, much like these...

So if you're looking for some good Pizza Boys eats like Doug had, enter our Wing Fling giveaway below and if you're looking for a fun Saturday afternoon activity, head on down to the Antique Center in Westmo on Rte. 233 next to the big green silo! Don't forget to check out Doug's article in May's issue of 'Pulse' Magazine too!
