Scammers always seem to be a bit ahead of the curve, as shown by their most recent tactic to dupe you into giving out critical, personal information.

Tax and IRS expert John Pollock joined Keeler in the Morning on WIBX with details on the latest trick: Now when these crooks call, your caller ID may something that seems official, like, Office of the Treasury.  Pollock says it sounds official, but it's a scam. However, hundreds-of-thousands of Americans have lost millions of dollars in this type of scam.

First off, don't give out personal information under any circumstances, he says. And, he offers this trick that is sure to prove you're about to be scammed:
