'Emotional Rescue' is easily the song that divides Rolling Stones fans the most.  Was it a sell-out to the disco era or  simply a natural evolution for a band that has progressed thought the musical ebbs and flows of parts of six decades?

The song came out in 1980 and was the title track to Emotional Rescue.  The album was an instant #1 and has gone on to become a double platinum seller. The singles from the album includes 'She's So Cold' and the contriveral title track.

Some fans didn't care for the disco sound nor Mick Jagger's falsetto vocals.

For a different take on 'Emotional Rescue' here's an 8:00 minute version from the jam band Phish.
