Denmark has started a war against the overweight. The Danes are implementing a “fat tax,” which is an additional charge on all types of foods that are deemed as “unhealthy”

According to Askmen.com, foods like butter, potato chips, desserts, and various other sweets are among the targets. Now I can't speak for everyone but I'm a big fan of all of those foods, and I lived in Denmark I'd be paying more.

On average, it will cost some 16 krone ($2.77) per kilogram of saturated fat. The idea makes sense, it's trying to keep people away from fatty foods by charging them more. Only problem is the same strategy has been used with cigarette smokers, yet they keep on keeping on regardless of the price.

What do you think? Do you think this tax is fair?
