With over 12 million players at its peak, we shudder to think how many characters have been deleted from existence by the loyal World of Warcraft fan base. Perhaps a few of them were deleted accidentally or without proper thought, and those players have probably been regretting the loss ever since. Blizzard has heard your cries and will soon be offering a solution: undeleting characters.

A new Battle.Net post has announced the undeleting character option coming soon to World of Warcraft, allowing every player to bring back past characters that felt the cold steel of deletion. As the blog post puts it, "undeleting a character restores all of its enchantments, gems, and items fully intact. You’ll be able to get back into action right away, and your character won’t remember being deleted—we won’t tell, either."

There are a few restrictions on undeleting characters, mostly dealing with lower level characters and time limits on undeletion, but the crucial rule comes from only being able to use the feature once every 30 days. If you undelete one character, you won't be able to do it again for a month, so be careful who you choose.

The new option will be available in the pre-Warlords of Draenor content patch coming soon, while Warlords of Draenor itself will be available Nov. 13.
