Dan Marino Still Involved In CBS’s Big Game Coverage Amidst News That He Had An Affair, Fathered A Love Child
It has come to light that our beloved CBS analyst, former Miami Dolphins Hall of Fame quarterback, husband for almost 30 years and father of 6 (dang dude!), Dan Marino apparently fathered now 7-year old Chloe from a fling with underling Donna Savattere back in 2005. Proof that once again, everybody is human and never as squeaky clean as we think they are.
"This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then," Marino said in a statement. "We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved. My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and have six children together,” he wrote yesterday — which happened to be his 28th wedding anniversary. “And we continue to be a strong and loving family.”
At the time of the affair he was already married for 20 years to his wife and apparently paid Donna millions to keep her quiet and 'encouraged' her to move out of state, which she did. It is unclear how this came to light now, but she was living beyond her means with the influx of cash from Marino.
So, what will happen on Superbowl Sunday? CBS says business as usual...
"Dan has said all there is to say on this matter and he'll be in his usual role on our broadcast Super Bowl Sunday."
He has an ESPN documentary about his life slated to come out soon too, wonder if this little development will be included... Read more about the story from the NY Post here.
