Moderate drinkers of wine have lower risks of liver disease, type II diabetes, certain kinds of cancers, heart attack and stroke. It also can reduce the bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase the good (HDL).

Enjoy your wine in ice cream. Have you tried Mercer's Wine Ice Cream from Boonville? If not then sample it. If you already love it then stock up.

Cook with wine and make wine lollipops. All you need is Port wine, corn syrup, sugar, and salt. You can also try making wine gummies. Follow the directions carefully on this one so you don't  burn off the alcohol. There are tons of recipes for entrees and desserts using your favorite wine.

It's hard to imagine once a bottle of wine is opened there's any leftover, but if there is look at what you can do with it.
