Cows Breed To Produce Same Nutrients As Human Breast Milk
In the words of famed New York Yankee announcer, Phil Rizzuto, "Holy Cow!" According to a report in U.K's Telegraph, geneticists have used cloning technology to breed cows that produce milk with the same nutrients and fat content as human breast milk. Why? The Telegraph explains:
The scientists behind the research believe milk from herds of genetically modified cows could provide an alternative to human breast milk and formula milk for babies, which is often criticised as being an inferior substitute. - The Telegraph
According to researchers the milk from the genetically altered cows tastes stronger than normal milk. Don't expect to see the new milk in your supermarket any time soon. It's expected to take about 10 years before the new milk hits the shelves for human consumption.
