A Brookfield High school grad and baseball star, who is fighting to stay alive, has an entire town fighting with him. Family and friends are rallying around 20 year-old Austin Warner, who has severe hypothermia and frostbite after being found by the road Friday.

Warner, who wasn't expected to live after being out in the cold for hours, is defying the odds. His grandmother, Wendy Stillman says he's still critical but his condition is improving. 'Tweaking the dialysis a bit. Baby steps forward is much better than any set back. Keep the faith and prayers.' It could have something to do with the amount of people coming together on the Prayers For Sauce Facebook page. Over 1400 have already joined, sending their thoughts and prayers to Warner and his family. Gina Medeiros, who helped create the pages says she 'hoping to double that.'

Warner, who got the nickname sauce in little league, is a 2012 Brookfield high school grad and a Section III baseball champ. Medeiros says, 'even though he is out of school he still attends my son's varsity games. Austin is just a great kid.'

Stillman says the family isn't sure why Warner was out in the cold alone but they're glad he was found and is improving. 'He's a fighter.'

Friends have also set up a GoFundMe campaign to help the family cover medical expenses and keep everyone updated on Warner's condition. 'Austin is fighting to stay alive, getting better everyday! He is one of the strongest people we all know, so we are praying for a safe recovery. He is responding better, and his brain is now functioning. He needs prayers! If you cannot donate money to help his loving family pay all of his medical bills, at least just keep him in your prayers! All of his family and friends need him by our sides! Thank you, much love xo.'

Prayers aren't just coming from Warner's hometown of Brookfield. This is on display in Bouckville.
