Before the famed movie director filmed "It's A Wonderful Life," Frank Capra was passing through Seneca Falls on his way to Auburn, New York.  He later sent a crew to the upstate town to take photographs.  Those pictures would be used to help design the Hollywood set that would be known as Bedford Falls.

The classic film was released on December 25th, 1946.  This past weekend, the town that inspired the fictional community celebrated the 70th anniversary of the movie's release.

Many of the kids of George and Mary Bailey, including the actors who played  Zuzu, Janie and Tommy Baily were all on hand to help with the special day, as reported by Syracuse.com.  Most of the remaining cast members have passed on.

If you ever visit Seneca Falls, New York, be sure to check out the Wonderful Life Museum.
