Sometimes the road back is even harder than the first time especially when it comes to sports. Take Herkimer College as an example. The school hasn't been in playoffs since 2015. That is about to change in a big way. The team is about to make a trip back to the NJCAA World Series in Tennessee.

Herkimer is no stranger to playoffs in baseball as making this their sixth appearance in school history and their first since 2015. The team is headed down to Tennessee as the number one seed and the favorite to bring home the championship. The team has been working all year with the championship in their sights.

The Generals clinched their spot with a Region 3 series win over Niagara CCC earlier in the week."I've never been a National /champion,"head coach Jason Rathbun said," I would love to get there at some point. It's what we work hard for and why we've put in so much work over the last 14 years.

Herkimer's opener is set for Saturday against Rockingham.
