In this edition of CNY Bands That Rock, we’ll hear 'I Might Be Old But I'm Not Dead Yet' and 'Soldier On' from Jon Liebing's latest CD.

Jon Liebing has been performing music since the 70's and has seen a lot of changes in the music industry. He chased the record label dream, he writes his music and records in his studio and seems to be happy as a full-time musician.

In Pull Me From The River I tried to play all the instruments, drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, percussion, vocals...

Liebing's latest CD is fantastic and available for you to purchase at his live shows. In our interview, you'll hear how he taught himself about all aspects of music and the process he goes through when creating his songs. "In Pull Me From The River I tried to play all the instruments, drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, percussion, vocals..."

When asked about "I Might Be Old But I'm Not Dead Yet" he says "We all know what's gonna happen in the end right. We don't know how or when but rather than freak out about It I was trying to laugh about it."

No matter what you do in life, if you lose or fall down the only thing you can do is forge ahead, soldier on, pick yourself up and move because sitting there and doing nothing doesn't seem to be a good option

The song 'Soldier On' is one of Liebing's favorites and was inspired by his girlfriend. She was talking to one of her friends in NYC one night, and she said 'well ok, soldier on,' and that expression stuck with him. "No matter what you do in life, if you lose or fall down the only thing you can do is forge ahead, soldier on, pick yourself up and move because sitting there and doing nothing doesn't seem to be a good option."
