Beginning today and every Tuesday during Spring, Summer and Fall we will feature a different classic car from CNY.

The car we are featuring this week is a 1966 Chevy Corvair. This is a one owner car believe it or not. Usually you find the owner is the 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th owner. Rarely do you find a single owner car.

If you're old enough you'll remember this is the car that Ralph Nader said was not safe to drive and pretty much killed this model for Chevrolet.

Steve Merren bought this classic car from a dealer in Atlanta in October 1965. He took a picture of the odometer when it turned 999,999.9 and then at 000,000.0. Finding the picture is another story.

The original color of the car was white until the Steve's wife said 'let's paint it yellow.' That color lasted one day and was painted back to factory white. However the door hinges still carry the yellow paint. Now, that's classic!

His gem sees the light of day on May 1st and is put away for the Winter on October 1st.

Enjoy and we'll see you next week for Classic Car Tuesday.
