Let’s head back to June 19th 1976. Youre parents just informed you that you are hosting a big family reunion on the 4th of July in honor of the bicentennial. You’re not too happy because you had plans on going up to Saranac Lake. However your mood changed when you tuned into WTLB and they announced that Blue Oyster Cult just released their new album “Agents Of Fortune”.

Agents of Fortune was the fourth studio album by the Blue Öyster Cult. This album would give the band their most successful hit ever,

The platinum selling album peaked at No. 29 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart, while the single "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" peaked at No. 12 on the Pop Singles chart, making it Blue Öyster Cult's biggest hit. The band also became a larger concert attraction at this time - largely based on not only their stage show, but aided by the airplay of "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" which to this day is a staple of FM rock station playlists.”
