Everybody loves a good concert.  The good times on a hot summer night at SPAC or Darien Lake.  Or inside the Aud or at The Stanley.

Every weekday afternoon at 1:15, we'll feature a great live cut from our classic hits library.  Maybe even some surprises from exclusive, unreleased recordings. Enter each days artist as your keyword in the Classic Rewards Club.  And check back here for live videos to go along with each days artist.

I debated a long time over this one.  I was checking out the 2007 Genesis release Live Over Europe and was about to use a track from that as today's Classic Concert Cut.  But as I looked over my Genesis CD collection, I was taken back in time to middle school.  I believe it was my guidance counselor at New York Mills (or was it the band teacher?) who first recommended early Peter Gabriel/Genesis records to me. I was hooked.  Listening back to the 1973 Genesis Live album is a really strange and wonderful trip through prog rock heaven, if you’re into that stuff.  Even Seconds Out, the first live album featuring Phil Collins at the helm, is an extreme musical masterpiece that requires some serious listening time.  For today’s Classic Concert Cut, we check out the 1982 live album 3 Sides Live which contained 3 sides of live material and 1 side of unreleased studio stuff.  3 sides?  Yeah, I’m talking about vinyl.  Enjoy “Misunderstanding”.
