Douglas and I are competing in the ‘Bucket of Junk’ competition at the Herkimer County Fair! It's a new contest where 1st place pays $10.00. LOL. This a contest you enter for bragging rights!

Here's what we had to work with. LOL!.

We spent  6 or 7 hours on the project over a week finishing at 6 pm on the night it's due (8/14) at the Herkimer County Fair by 8 pm.

Contest rules.

Did we wait until the last minute? Yes. Yes, we did. My mom and I decided early on that we should make a microphone, so that made it a little easier.

Here we are working on our beautiful finished 'sculpture.' Hahaha.

This is our finished product. I hope you can tell it's a console/board for an on-air radio studio (like the Eagle) with a microphone.

Yikes This is what we're up against! Fierce competition. Especially the tractor. Do you think we're even in the same league? Do we have any chance at all? If you look at the instructions above, you'll see you can't add anything. Douglas and I took that literally. Our base is the instructions coated with Bondo which is had to work with and almost impossible to get smooth. As you can see, others added a base. We feel like we're the underdog. What do you think?

At any rate, it was a lot of fun. Bonding time! ##thosewhoplaytogetherstaytogether. Check out photo gallery of Douglas and I working on the project.

Look for the Bucket of Junk competition when you visit the Herkimer County Fair.
