Call me old fashioned, but I have never really been a fan of movie reboots.  Some things, I feel, should just be left alone.  You don’t touch the classics.  Look at how they ruined the remake of Total Recall.  I always feel this way when I hear about a remake of any great movie.

I was skeptical when ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ came out a few years back.  I gave it a try simply because I happen to be a big Tim Burton fan.  It was ok, just ok, not great.

They remade ‘Halloween’ a few years back.  I didn’t even watch it, although I’m a big fan of the genre.

Some movies are just meant to be left alone, and that’s it!

Rumor has it now that they are tinkering with a reboot of ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’.  I loved the movie and I really like Chris Pratt, who is being considered for the part of Indiana Jones.  Despite what I just said, I may check it out…for ummmm, continuity purposes, yeah that’s it.

Turns out, Chris Pratt will be making an appearance in another classic remake “The Magnificent Seven”.  I’m curious to see what they will do with that one.

As we know, Disney bought the rights to the ‘Indiana Jones’ Franchise a couple of years ago, so we can pretty much expect a reboot of the 4 movies.  We’ll see what happens.  I guess Chris Pratt is a pretty good choice for the role.  I like him in ‘The Lego Movie’ and Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.  Maybe a special effects upgrade is in order, but don’t ruin the storyline.
