It appears that a commercial developer plans to bring the region's first Chick-fil-A to the upstate area.  The Times Union reports that the popular franchise will be part of a complex in the Capital Region's Halfmoon, NY.

Chick-Fil-A already has nearly 2,000 restaurants, most of them located in the southeast and southwest.  Unlike most fast food restaurants, Chick-fil-A locations are closed every Sunday as well as on Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Despite being in business for over 60 years, it is one of the fastest growing franchises in the country.

Before the new restaurant can be built, it must be approved by the Town of Halfmoon's planning board.
