Central Valley Academy's Boys Varsity basketball team will be taking to the court for the February 13th matchup with Sherburne-Earlville looking to score, not only a home victory but also some additional support for the American Cancer Society.

The school will be holding their first Coaches Vs Cancer night, which is a national effort by high school and collegiate coaches to raise awareness and funds to further research, education, advocacy and patient service programs through the American Cancer Society. The coaches will be holding a 50/50 raffle in support of the cause, as well as hosting change drops at concession stands. Central Valley has worked with the American Cancer Society for many years as they have partnered with Relay For Life, with the running of the annual Mott Marathon Challenge held in June Last year the event raised over $10,000 in honor of Jack Day, a 2011 Ilion graduate.

The varsity boy's game takes place at 7 pm on Monday, February 13th at Central Valley Academy in Ilion.
