As much as we would love to see all marriages a success, sadly nearly 50% of them end in divorce. Here in New York, you would be surprised to learn that Central New York is of the highest in the state. 

Accorcding to Find the Home, New York ranked number 35 in the country for divorces. The New York city that is the ‘Divorce Capital’ of the state is Jamestown. Jamestown has a city population of around 30,799. The divorced percentage for the city is around 14.8%. However, Central New York isn't too far behind:

Rome has 13.5% divorce rates for a population of around 33,100. Utica has 11.6% divorce rates for a population of around 61,500 people. The Central New York region is listed as some of the highest in the state.

Keep in mind that divorcées make up nearly 11 percent of the U.S. population. The highest city in the nation with divorce was Covington, located in Kentucky. They have a city population of over 40,700 with a divorced percentage of 18.9%.
