'Christmas in Little Falls' is right around the corner! Main Street First and Think Local invite you to celebrate the holidays with all of these fun events right here in Central New York.

Saturday, December 10th is a day to celebrate 'Christmas in Little Falls'. There will be many events going on throughout the holiday season within the city.

The festivities kick off with the annual Red Nose Reindeer Run at 8:00 am that day at the Little Falls Family YMCA. The jolly old man himself will be giving the shot-gun start to the race at 9:00 am. Registration for this family-fun 5k will be only $20 and you can register online, via mail, or in person the day of the event.

The Little Falls Fire Department will be escorting Santa to the fire station after so that your little ones can go see him and tell him what they want for Christmas in person from 9:00-10:30 am. Don't forget the camera!

Travelodge will be hosting an indoor Farmers Market and Craft Fair in their banquet room from 9:00-3:00. There will be plenty of farm-to-table product available, along with handmade gifts for sale. Chainsaw artist Mark Tyoe will be carving a holiday bear, as well as giving some glass blowing demonstrations. Benton Hall Academy and LFHS will be providing holiday music throughout the day and a puppet show of 'A Christmas Carol' and German folk-dancing will follow.

The Elks Club will also be hosting a Holiday Artisan's Fair from 9:00-4:00, with more than 25 vendors this year.

The HALO Tree Lighting will take place in Adirondack Bank at 9:30 am, followed by writing letters to Santa in the lobby.Kids will also have a chance to meet the characters from Disney's Frozen at Berkshire Bank from 10:00-1:00 and see a free screening of Frozen at Valley Cinemas at 11:00 am.

Everyone is welcome to the Community Center from 9:00-11:00 am to make Christmas cards and bracelets for out service men and women. There will be a winter hat and mitten giveaway at St. Pauls' Universalist Church from 12:00-2:00 pm.

The 5th annual Bartenders Race hits Main Street in front of Renaissance at 11:00 am. Everyone is welcome to cheer on their favorite wait-staff as the race for charity and try not to spill their trays! The popular Soup Fest will be held at Canal Place from 1:00-3:00 pm, where you can taste the delicious soups and stews from the best local chefs fro a small fee to help benefit local charities.

Folks are invited to the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts as well from 12:00-4:00 pm for a variety of free holiday music, as well as a concert from Dmitri Levkovich and Agne Radzevicuite on Friday, December 9th. Local band Cleen Street will perform at Piccolo Café from 1:00-4:00 pm.
