The Ten Lives Club cat shelter in the Buffalo suburb of Hamburg has put out an urgent call for assistance as their shelter is currently inaccessible due to roads made impassable by heavy lake effect snow.

The shelter is seeking someone with a snowmobile to get volunteers to the shelter to feed the cats and administer medicine.

There are several fire department volunteers coming from Central New York to assist. Perhaps one of them can help these cats.

Please share if you have any friends, family, acquaintances in Western New York who may be able to lend a hand.

The shelter volunteers asked on Facebook for

your positive thoughts and prayers that we get a "transport angel" to head over to get our staff in and tend to our cats wondering where "we all are!" These cats rely on us!!

Update 11/19/14 - 6:00pm: The shelter reports that a path has been clearned and a volunteer now has access to the cats.
