The weather looks perfect for the "Bark For Life" walk to benefit the American Cancer Society on Saturday. Get your friends and dogs together for the 1.5 mile noncompetitive walk at MVCC. Registration begins at noon and the walk starts at 1 PM.

This is your opportunity to involve our four legged friends in the fight against cancer.

Look at all the fun we'll have!!!

  • Before the walk begins, there's a blessing of the dogs by Pastor Roger from Waterbury Presbyterian Church.
  • Meet the NYS K9 Unit of Oneida. See how these dogs work for law enforcement.
  • There are a number of adoptable dogs you can visit and consider adopting, including pets from Greyhound Rescue and Stevens Swan Human Society.
  • Kids can meet and take pictures with McGruff the Crime Dog, courtesy of the Rome Police Dept.
  • Meet 'Kimmie' the Chinese Crested Dog

  • Watch dogs compete in some fun contests, including the peanut butter licking contest!
  • Lots of vendors with information on all sorts of products and services for your pet, including vet care, pet safety, dog treats, pet wash services, dog sitting and more.
  • Great homemade BBQ available.
  • Ice cream for humans and dogs!!!

You can pre-register for just $10.00 per dog at Bark For Life or register Saturday 12 noon at MVCC
