The smoke from those terrible wildfires in Alberta Canada has reached Upstate new York.  This could cause misty skies and very vivid sunsets.

The U-S Weather Service tells the Wildfire Today webpage that skies aren't quite as blue as usual, and the sunset may be more colorful.   Areas of the Adirondacks will be the most affected as the winds move the smoke across the Great Lakes and into Northern New England.

The weather service says that a cold front may bring cloud cover to the Upstate area before much of the heavier smoke arrives.  The Albany area could actually see the most interesting sunset as the clouds will not be over the Capital District by this evening.

The wildfires have destroyed over 2,000 buildings and have forced the evacuation of nearly 100,000 people from their homes.
