Facebook seems to be a big part of our lives. It doesn’t seem to be slowing down or going anywhere any time soon. As we already knew, employers can use Facebook as a tool to learn the kind of person an employee may be.

According to a new study out of The Los Angeles Times, a person's Facebook profile may actually reveal what kind of employee he or she might be. Researchers found that key personality traits that can be found in your profile show your future job success.

Prospective employers might be able to get information they couldn’t ask in an interview such as emotional stability, agreeableness, extroversion and conscientiousness. High scores on those traits are generally accepted by hiring managers as an indication that you'll be a good employee.

So sadly in today’s age, if you're looking for a job, it's better to have a great Facebook profile than to have a big brain.
