American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Camden is hosting a Cook-Off on Thursday, October 12 and your invited.

The Camden Area Relay For Life will celebrate its 16th year with a Kick-Off Cook-Off on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at 6 p.m. at the Wesleyan Church Fellowship Hall for an event that will remind us why we Relay.

The evening will begin with a contest pitting local fire departments, community groups and even a local Justice of the Peace against each other to find the best cook in the area. Attendees can taste test the dishes brought in by the area chefs and vote for the one who they think is the best. By the end of the evening, someone will be crowned the “Sweet 16 Kick-Off Cook-Off Champ.”

This year’s Relay Committee will present information on how to register, survivor activities, fundraising, how to become a sponsor, the mission of Relay For Life, and there will even be some Relay merchandise for sale.

Get out your poodle skirt and saddle shoes or just come and enjoy the event with your friends and neighbors. Taste some good food, listen to some old classics, and take up the fight against cancer. For more information, call 315.239.4474.
