If you've ever been on a rickety bridge, you're about to have a flashback of your worst nightmare coming true.

This is truly terrifying footage of a group of French tourists walking over a bridge on the Lake Waikaremoana Great Walk in New Zealand last month. You can probably guess what happened.

The bridge snapped, sending the four hikers falling more than 30 feet into the water below. Amazingly, no one was hurt.

An official said the accident occurred when one of the bridge's cables "released," which we assume is just fancy talk for "broke."

Officials are investigating the matter. The bridge, which may be even more frightening than this one, is still closed.
