Brewery Ommegang Coming To Syracuse Beer Fest

Brewery Ommegang will be at Syracuse Beer Fest this Saturday with some of their fine beverages for us to sample.  Over the summer, we had a representative from the Brewery stop by the station on their tour of Central New York to introduce us to a couple new brews.  Of course, we were very glad to sample these fine craft beers.

Hopstate NY - This is a limited edition brew that will only be sold in New York State.  And what's even more exciting is that this beer is made with only New York State grown hops.  It's a hoppy beer for people who don't usually like hoppy beer.  This was a very smooth, easy drinking beer with a very distinct flavor.

Nirvana IPA - This is an American IPA, and a very different flavor than the Hopstate NY.  You can taste the hops along with some hints of citrus.  But what you don't taste is the typical bitterness of a hoppy IPA.  This is an awesome, smooth beer for this hot Central New York weather.

Hopefully they'll be bringing these homegrown brews with them to Syracuse On Tap!
