U2 singer Bono has reportedly been injured in a New York City bike accident, and will require arm surgery that will keep the band from appearing on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' as planned this week.

The exact nature and severity of the injury is unknown, with the band issuing the following statement on their official website: "It looks like we will have to do our Tonight Show residency another time -- we're one man down. Bono has injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park and requires some surgery to repair it. We're sure he'll make a full recovery soon, so we'll be back! Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding."

We're certainly not wishing any harm on the guy, but if you believe bad things happen in threes then you may want to stay the hell away from Bono for a while. Last week it was reported that the luggage door fell off a private jet carrying Bono and others from Dublin to Berlin, leaving the singer "lucky to be alive."
